Designed specifically for outdoor deployments, this comprehensive solution allows you to mount antennas directly onto your device while providing essential lightning protection. Perfect for both urban and rural environments, this bundle ensures seamless communication with LoRaWAN devices while safeguarding your equipment from lightning strikes.
Deploying your Chirp Gateway is made easy with our carefully selected elements tailored to withstand the elements. The bundle includes lightning arrestors, strategically mounted between each antenna and the gateway, and grounded to a dedicated grounding rail using the provided grounding wires. This critical step effectively redirects any potential lightning strikes away from your equipment, ensuring its longevity and reliability.
For enhanced protection, the bundle also offers the option to include a Surge Protective Device (SPD). Positioned between the gateway and the Power over Ethernet (PoE) injector, the SPD acts as an additional safeguard against transient surges, ensuring the longevity and reliability of your equipment.
Choose from our range of LoRa antennas, including options such as 8dBi or 5.8dBi fiberglass antennas optimized for the 900-930MHz and 858-878MHz frequency ranges. Customize the bundle to perfectly suit your outdoor deployment needs.
What antenna to choose?
Chirp Gateway original come with 5dbi LoRa Sub-G Antenna and LoRa 2.4G antenna. If you want to only extend the position of the default antennas, select the Without LoRa antenna option.
Based on your location and the closeness of the Chirp Gateway you can choose the 5.8dBi antenna if the other Hotspots are nearby as you will be able to provide more reliable network coverage. You can choose the 8dBi antenna if there are no other Chirp Gateway close to you, to provide long-range coverage for the IoT devices.
