The RAK11720 stamp module is based on the powerful AMA3B1KK-KBR-B0 MCU from Ambiq (aka Ambiq Apollo3) together with a Semtech SX1262 LoRa® transceiver.
The AMA3B1KK-KBR-B0 has an integrated Bluetooth Low Energy transceiver that enhances the communication capabilities.
The RAK11720 stamp module comes in the same size and footprint as our RAK3172 module which gives you the opportunity to enhance your existing designs with BLE without designing a new PCB.
The RAK11720 comes in two variants:
- With MHF4 connectors for LoRa and BLE
- Without MHF connector and the option to connect your own antennas to the RF pins of the module
Note:
- The antenna of Check to Include is a supporting antenna for certification.
- When purchasing Blade Antenna, you need to use it with MHF TO RP-SMA/SMA Connector type MHF-4 variant.
- As our customers are starting mass production and deploying their products globally, we want to clarify that our modules' hardware supports multiple LoRaWAN regions. As there is no difference in the hardware, we optimized the variants in our store to make it easier to select the correct module. Please note that the difference between the variants is only in the label on the module, which reflects the different regional telecommunication certifications.
- "With MHF" variant has different hardware on RF path compared to "No MHF" variant. This means the RF pinout is disconnected internally if "With MHF" variant is selected. If "No MHF" is selected, the module has no antenna connector and the RF path is connected to the RF pad of the module.
The two RF communication characteristic of the module (Lora® + BLE) makes it suitable for a variety of applications in the IoT field, such as home automation, sensor networks, building automation, and IoT network applications.
The RAK11720 stamp module is pin-compatible with the RAK3172. With one PCB you can create devices that support only LoRaWAN® or support both LoRaWAN® and BLE by using just changing the BOM from RAK3172 to RAK11720.
The RAK11720 comes with our RUI3 based AT command firmware that is fully compatible with the RAK3172 and RAK4631-R. In addition, you can create your own custom firmware with the RUI3 API..Please select a variant for your LoRaWAN® region according to this table:

Hi, I see that these modules are FCC/IC/CE certified, would it be possible to include a link with the declarations of conformity for these certifications?. Is there any other certification planned or in process?. Particularly interested in REACH (AU).
You can find all certifications in our Download Center.
For the RAK11720, at the moment only FCC, CE and ISED is available ==> https://downloads.rakwireless.com/LoRa/RAK11720/Certification/
