This bundle provides everything you need to deploy your LoRaWAN network off the grid and use renewable solar energy to power it.

WisGate Edge Pro version 2 (RAK7289V2/RAK7289CV2) is RAK’s latest outdoor LoRaWAN gateway. It is based on the SX1303 LoRa core, providing better sensitivity and improved performance.

The gateway is available in 8 or 16-channel versions to help you utilize the maximum of the used LoRaWAN channels in your region and supports multi-backhaul with Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Cellular connectivity. The gateway’s enclosure design allows the LTE, Wi-Fi, and GPS antennas to be inside the enclosure.

The Battery Plus is designed to work especially with WisGate Edge Pro/Pro v2 and WisGate Edge Prime v2(with Battery Plus support). With the Solar Panel Kit, you can deploy your solution completely off-grid in locations with limited or unstable access to a reliable power source. The 50 Ah battery provides up to more than 5 full days of working with no sun.

Enhance your commercial and large-scale deployments with the RAK Battery Plus, backed by a Product/Public Liability Certificate of Insurance for unparalleled reliability and risk mitigation in even the most remote locations.

You can monitor and configure the system via the WisDM platform – RAK’s remote management platform. Information about the battery status, charging state, and alarms are available in the gateway’s Web UI and WisDM.

Battery Plus Features

  • Long Life Span - The Lithium Iron Phosphate battery can be expected to remain serviceable for more than 10 years, considering that it is charged and discharged once a day at room temperature (25 °C).
  • Integrated Heating Function - The battery integrates a solar charger and heater, it can be connected to PV panels directly and charged under 0 °C.
  • Lightweight Design - The weight of RAK9155 is no more than 8 kg making installation by a single person easier.
  • High Waterproof Grade - With an IP65 rating of the enclosure, RAK9155 is suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments.

Ensure Optimal Performance

A dedicated Service Power Adapter for Battery Plus is available. Add it via the "Check to Include" option! It is suitable for the following purposes:

  • Initial Charging: Fully charge the Battery Plus in-house when received. Due to transportation limitations, the battery is charged to only 30%.
  • Long-term Storage: If you plan to store the Battery Plus for longer periods, fully charge the battery before storing it.
  • Deployment Preparation: Fully charge the Battery Plus before deployment to ensure it can power your solution.
  • Testing and Evaluation: Charge batteries during testing phases without the Solar Panel to verify their performance and longevity.

This adapter is an essential tool for maintaining and ensuring the efficiency of your RAK Battery Plus.
