Description

WisBlock utilizes a flexible building block design, which enables modular function realization and expansion. WisBlock Base is the platform carrier that allows easy plug-in of one WisBlock Core processing board and multiple WisBlock modules. WisBlock Base provides the power supply, battery and solar panel supplies, and charging block. In addition, it has connectors for programming and debugging.

WisBlock Base supports multiple types of low-power MCUs.

With high-speed interconnection connectors in the WisBlock Base board, we ensure signal integrity and reliability when creating a custom device.

RAK19001 WisBlock Dual IO Base Board

The RAK19001 features two IO slots for large modules and 6 sensor slots for sensors, GNSS modules, and similar. It opens the WisBlock to more complex applications where many modules are required. As an additional feature, it has all GPIOs exposed on a solder pad that makes it easy to connect third-party modules. Other features are a solar panel connector; rechargeable battery connector; separate connector for non-rechargeable batteries; USB type C connector; user-definable button; switch.

RAK19003 WisBlock Mini Base Board

The RAK19003 is the smallest baseboard module for WisBlock. It is a carrier for the WisBlock Core MCU module and two WisBlock modules with a 24-pin connector. It enables engineers and makers to build low-effort prototypes, test different types of sensors, and develop the application.

This Base module supports as standard 3 different power supplies. Depending on the application either 5V USB, 3.7V LiPo batteries, and 5V solar panels or a combination can be chosen. WisBlock Base Board enables low power consumption applications with the option to switch on and off the power supply for the WisBlock Sensors.

RAK19007 WisBlock Base Board 2nd Gen

The RAK19007 is the second generation of our standard WisBlock Base Board RAK5005-O. Featuring one WisBlock Core slot, four Sensor slots, and 1 IO slot, it has several improvements: USB type C connector; GNSS modules can be used without blocking another sensor slot; improved voltage regulator.

This Base board supports both 5 V USB and 3.7 V rechargeable battery as power supply.

RAK19009 WisBlock Mini Base Board with Power Slot

The RAK19009 features one WisBlock Core slot and two Sensor slots, a flexible building block design, which enables modular function realization and expansion.

The functional design of the RAK19009 is not only shown in its small size. It also supports a vast variety of power supplies. This is achieved by separating the power supply from the Base Board. The RAK19009 must be paired with a Power Board suitable for your specific use case.

RAK19010 WisBlock Base Board with Power Slot

The RAK19010 features one WisBlock Core slot, one IO slot, and four Sensor slots. This setup combines the small size and versatility of this specific number of available slots.

The power supply is again separated from the board to accommodate more options via a combination with a Power Slot module.

RAK19011 WisBlock Dual IO Base Board with Power Slot

The RAK19011 features one WisBlock Core slot, two IO slots, and six Sensor slots making it the biggest and most versatile of the Base boards offered by WisBlock.

Even though it is bigger than the rest, the RAK19011 still features the relatively small size associated with WisBlock modules. It also supports a vast variety of power supplies, again by separating the power supply from the Base Board.
